Correct way to measure my broken spoke
I have 2 broken spokes and thought it would be easy to replace them but I didn't realise there were so many sizes. Could anyone tell me how I should measure the spoke i.e from which part of the bend -to start of thread or end of spoke.
If it's any use I have an Iron Horse Transit 3.0 2008.
I tried to use spoke calculators but can't find the hub listing anywhere.

compare it with an unbroken one.. a spoke ruler hangs the spoke by the hook/head.
that is the Zero. .. measure is to the end of the spoke.
Normally they break at the transition from straight to the bend.

Spokes are measured from the inside of the elbow to the end. If it broke at the elbow, there's usually enough of the curve left for you to figure where the inside of the elbow is.
If you have to fudge or round to the nearest available size, look at how close to the tops of the nipples the other spokes are, making sure to keep track of left and right rear spokes which usually differ by 2mm or so. If the spokes come all the way to the top of the nipple or above, err low, if they end below the screwdriver slot in the nipples, err high.
