Not hands on , but they are race bike side-pulls, with only clearance for 23 wide tires
just have been redesigned to leave out more metal, and uptick the price..
so I'd say are same, Ergo Lever/Brifter as the Campag one, that preceded them, in the same niche .

The front has the 1.4: 1 actuation ratio common to dual pivot caliper brakes.
The rear has the 1:1 actuation ratio common to single pivot caliper brakes. The idea is that the rear allows better modulation and can be set a tick wider if your rear rim buckles, trading off power in the process. There is no situation where you need as much power on the rear as the front for an unladen bicycle, so this is a good compromise.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Same geometry as Campy used on the comparable prior models, so same cable travel, neither more nor less.

No worries, as the others have said, just set them up like any other set of road brakes. The Campy marketing info said they went with single pivot on the rear so the rear wheel would be less likely to lock up, and a nice by-product is that it saves a little weight. I've got some Skeleton brakes, and they're excellent brakes.

I presume what caused the OP's question is the fact that Shimano has changed the geometry of their most recent brakes (5700, 6700, 7900) and the corresponding brifters and we are told neither component works well with earlier brakes and brifters. So, the question is did Campy do the same thing? Apparently they did not.
A bit OT but has anyone tried the new Shimano brifters with older brakes or vice versa? Results?

Yes, we have lots of new bikes with the new brifters coupled with non-Shimano road calipers. I can't tell a difference, they work great. On one of my own bikes, I'm using the new Shimano 105 brifters coupled with Paul's cantilever brakes. Before I installed the new 105 brifters, I was using older Shimano 105 brifters. No difference in braking feel or performance, that I can tell. I'm a big fan of the new generation Shimano brifters. The shifting has a more positive feel, the brake hoods are a better shape (IMO), and having both cables under the tape is much cleaner. We jokingly refer to the older version Shimano brifters, with exposed shift cables, as "caveman shifters." We're joking of course, but I really do believe the new design is better. Honestly, it's an obvious response to SRAM's stuff.

So let me get this straight the new 5700 brifters will not work with older calipers what about my touring bike that has cantilevers. I would like some brifters that don't have cables sticking into my handlebar bag.

Thanks for the feed back. The reason for my question was to try to determine if 11 speed levers would actuated avid bb7 disc better than the old style 10 speed levers. If so it would justify me asking if it is possible to put 10 speed cams (?) Inside of 11 speed shifters, which I believe I saw someone doing. If it sounds kinda of convoluted it is but it all goes on a tandem where everything is kinda convoluted. 10 speed campy levers, Chris king hub, shimano 10 speed cassette, sram xo rear dr, avid bb7disc rear brake ,trp 960 front brake

Read well biked's posting right above yours. Apparently the newer brifters do work well with older Shimano and Tektro sidepulls and cantilever brakes.

or use Nokon housing, and bend the cable routing 90 degrees as soon as it exits the levers.
