700c Rim Selction for Wide Cross Tire

Hi there, i'm building up a wheel set for my bike and am trying to find the right rim. I've used the Salsa Delgado and Mavic A719. This time around am trying to see if there's something else i should try.

The bike these are for is my commuter/cross bike and i'll probably use a set of XT hubs. I run a 32 tire and am considering something maybe a little beefier (up to a 38 or 42mm at the biggest). Eyelets (probably) and a 32 (or even 36) hole drilling.

I think that at this point I start to get into the 29er category which i have little knowledge of. I'm still looking around and want to make sure i'm not missing any obvious choices.

Any recommendations?

If you'd consider something without eyelets, the Velocity Dyad is worth adding to the list. You want something with a brake track, is that correct?

forgot the mention that. i'm going to use these with disc brakes. I've never gotten disc specific rims (without the machined surface) before but i think that's just a habit. I'll check out the dyad. I actually just used a set of these in a 650b for my wife's bike and they worked great.

I see these come up pretty regularly, anyone used them before?

For a disc specific rim that will work fine with anything from a 700 x 28 tire all the way up to a super fat 29er tire (something like 56-622), the Mavic TN719Disc rim is an excellent choice. I've been using them for a couple of years, they're very high quality rims. Welded seam, single eyelet, disc specific, available in 32h or 36h. The wheels I built with them are 36h. Very bombproof for off road riding.
