Free Spirit parts, specifically the Shimano 3-speed.
I rescued a 70's vintage Sear Free Spirit trike. All the "important" parts are there with one tiny exception. The left/right threaded goodie to connect the shifter cable threaded thing to the threaded goodie attached to the shifter lever on the hub.
Any idea where I can find one of these?
Thankies (Hope this was the right sub-section of the forum)

Try the Classic & Vintage forum, too. You're looking for the bell crank, push rod, cable and clamps for the Shimano 3-speed hub. Some of these parts are available on Ebay, but the C&V'ers will be able to show you pictures.

I have a Shimano 333 3-speed hub with all the fixin's for it (I think...) If you want to scavenge some parts off it let me know and I'll see if I have them.

My Ted Williams Free Spirit is almost ready to ride. Sure is a lot nicer being able to start in low gear. Still need to secure the shifter cable to the frame to keep it from sliding out of adjustment.
