Same bearing size both sides of rear hub?
Hi all
was repacking the bearings on a rear hub last night on the balcony, light was falling and I mixed the ball bearings up from each side - they really did look the same size though. I remember working on rear hubs in the past that had bigger ball bearings on one side and just want to make sure I have not 'mixed and matched' by mistake!
The rear hub is an older Deore LX, incidentally the wheel is running fine, but maybe the new grease is disguising my error.
Thanks for the help

all but a few of the newest shimano freehubs use 9 1/4" bearings on both sides. The bearings are so precise that it doesn't hurt to mix them. They only need to be replaced when the shine is worn off.
