Front Suspension tune up...
Hey, my front suspension seems to be sticking. When i compresses down, it returns to the normal position very slowly. It is a Manitou Magnum R on my 2001 Trek 6500. How would I go about tuning this up?
Thanks

Being realistic, unless you can find a shop with spares for the fork, the best solution would be to replace it.
Manitou's from that era wern't the best forks at the time, and are totally outclassed by just about anything available today. More importantly, spares are non-existant.
If you want to have a go at stripping the fork down, there is a manual here https://www.spoke-n-word-cycles.com/T...e%20Manual.pdf but would be prepared to replace the fork if you find anything broken or worn out inside.

Seek out the tech manual online, it may be a case of just taking it apart ,
cleaning the internals, lubricating , and putting them back together.

Alright thanks.
If I need a new one, any suggestions. I am just getting into mountain biking and since I am in school won't have a lot of opportunities right now, so I would be looking for something some what cheap... Is it a bad idea to go used on forks?
