I should add that I have a ultegra 9 speed cassette on the wheel now..

Can I change the carrier on the wheel to campy? and get a campy cassette

or can I just use the 9 speed cassette with campy spacers and have less gears?

I really only ever shift 2 times in the rear down here in New Orleans.. I don't need the 10 speed..

You could run Shimano 10-speed with the Campy drivetrain. It won't be silky smooth but it does work well enough.

You could buy a 10-speed conversion cassette with Shimano splines and Campy spacing from Wheels Manufacturing. Or you could use a J-Tek Shiftmate, but then your bike will not be compatible with a Campy wheel unless you remove the Shiftmate.

or American Classic.

Or maybe you can change the cassette body to Campy
