Hybrid with MTB components to Drops and 105...AND I've never done this before!!
I have collected ALMOST all the parts for the conversion.
I have already:
105 5603 brifters (came with new cables)
105 5600 FD
105 5700 RD
105 5603 triple crank
105 5600 11-25 10sp cassette
"travel agent"s for the brakes
Still need to order:
Bottom bracket (English or Italian? how do I know??)
Can someone please tell me 1) what special tools do I need to buy? and 2) How do I know what Bottom Bracket I need?
Bicycle Repair Man !!!
If the bike is your Cannondale it uses an English bottom bracket and specs for a triple usually call for a 118 mm width.
If the bikes use the same crank interface the existing bb may be fine if the width is correct and for this you will need a crank puller and if a different bb is needed you will need the right removal tools and installation tools.
Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
I'm not being snarky by posting this instead of writing an explanation-recommendation thesis, but I'm dog tired and about to head to bed (working on three hours of sleep right now and it's already 9 PM ) --
Have you checked the Park Tools website? They want to sell bike tools, so they want to teach people how to use them.

Alex at Bicycle Tutor has been putting together a bucketload of good videos, too:

5600 series cranks use Shimano's external BB cups; the spindle is already incorporated into the driveside crank arm. Any of the "road" BB cups (BB-4500/5600/5700/6600/6700, etc) with English threading should be fine.
Barrak-go to bed!
