Schwinn Krate Interchangeable Parts

I know the parts off of the '99-'01 reproduction krates are interchangeable with 60's/70's krates. But I haven't been able to find information on the black friday models.

My question: Can I use the springer front end and fenders off a (much cheaper and much easier to find) 'Black Friday Krate' on my '68 Orange Krate?

Thanks!

The springer should fit but they were pretty cheesy on the BFK's and might look like crap on an original bike. The rear fender is probably cut different and may not work on a 5 speed frame. 68's didn't have a front fender so you're good there.

@Kingsting.....

THANKS!

I've been really confused about the front fender. Mine has one but now I'm assuming it was added later (along with the post '68 seat and bars).

I also hadn't thought about the cut of the rear fender.

That saves me a headache of searching for a donor bike. Now I'll spend the money on the original springer.
