Thank you for inventing the threadless headset. What a marvelous invention! I installed a new fork this afternoon, decided that I didn't like it on that bike and proceeded to swap the fork with another bike. Total time for the swap: 10 minutes. That's removing 2 wheels, removing two stems, removing two forks and reinstalling everything. I think it took longer to get the bikes off the wall than to swap the forks.

Concur on all points. Add: you can swap road bars without untaping and removing the brake levers.

But once you cut the steer tube, you're committed.

But all in all, such a simple and secure system.
