Bent Peugeot UO 8 frame
Hey all,
Im kind of new to the whole biking scene, but just after riding three times on my Peugeot UO 8, my friend tried riding it and bent the frame near the front.. causing the front wheel to rub against the frame. My question is.... Can this be fixed on the cheap side? Im a student on a budget and cant really fork out hundreds of dollars for a new one. Any help appreciated

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Can it be fixed ?
yes.
Can you afford the total rebuild on a student's budget ?
No.
Would it be worth it ?
No... you could pick up another UO8 for the equivalent of beer money in many places and maybe pay $100.00 max for one in really nice shape.
And your fork is bent too.

Its wall art now. That is badly damaged. Repair would cost way more than what the bike is worth, and more than what a replacement bike would cost you. Remove usable parts, and recycle the remainder.

Thanks for replying so quickly! I kinda figured what the answer would be. Self denial I guess.

I'm wondering that, too. That's a serious bend.

That bike is toasted. Probably you can use it like that too, but actually is your call. Have seen people riding crashed bikes for years of years and nothing ever happen. I would be worried about the fork tho... again is your call if you want to use it.
