Carbon paint touch-ups

I scratched a white portion of my S2 a bit ago and after a bit, my vanity caught up with me, so I decided to touch it up with white nail polish. Now it looks like crap. The uniformity of the white paint around it is interrupted by a very un-uniform blob of white.

Has anyone ever made this mistake before and successfully corrected it? Nail polish remover crossed my mind, but I'm not sure if it will damage the carbon underneath.

Shame on me for scratching my paint, and more shame on me for trying to fix it.

I have had success filling in chips on automobiles using the following method: First, I clean the chip with xylol. Then, using a fine-pointed artist brush, I fill in the chip with touch-up paint. It takes multiple applications over several days to get the level of the paint in the chipped area slightly above the level of the surrounding paint. I give the paint a few days drying time to let it do its shrinking. Then I glue a piece of 1500 grit sandpaper on the middle of a popsicle stick. Wearing an optivisor, I use my popsicle stick to very carefully sand the paint in the chip down to the level of the surrounding paint. Then I polish the chip using Meguiar's #7 or similar. The process takes a bit of time but the results are usually very good. Your success will depend on whether the nail polish color matches the bike color.

Yotsko: Getting a perfect match against white is problematic since there are more colors of white than any other. Just do your best and enjoy riding the bike. Bikes get scratched unless you hang them on a wall and admire them.

I would not use nail polish remover as it often contains acetone, which may damage the finish even more.

I would suggest a decal over the area! Where exactly is it? Photo? I have a Vinyl cutter, maybe I can make you something. I used Vinyl on my Madone to give it a different look from stock.

All the red is just vinyl.
