White Industries eccentric Eno hub - special freewheel removal tool required?
Just thinking ahead on a SS conversion project on my road bike with vertical dropouts (89 Cannondale). I see that White Industries sells a freewheel removal tool for use with the ENO eccentric hub.
Is that removal tool required for the ENO Eccentric hub or will others work?
Thanks in advance.

I believe you can remove the axle and use a standard BMX freewheel remover. Without taking it apart you do need the special tool.

Have you tried the White Industries Tech Corner, all you need should be there https://www.whiteind.com/techcorner.html

The tool's description states it works on most freewheels which would seem to mean that standard tools would work on the White Ind. freewheel. As noted above, using their tool would eliminate the need to remove the axle. You need to decide if that is worth the extra cost.

eccentric
if you have their eccentric hub, you will need their tool.
Our standard four prong freewheel removal tool mates with most freewheels.
Unique to the tool is the larger machined out center allowing the tool to fit
over both the eccentric and standard ENO hub axle ends
