Chain has an A-hole in it
I changed my rear derailleur hanger and in the process twisted my chain around. I worked on straightening it out for a while but lost patients. Any tips? It has 2 loops in it and really seems like no matter which way I try to un-loop it only makes it worse. Thanks

Must not say "also has an A-hole working on it"......must be strong.......must
try to help politely........must not laugh.
If you did not break apart the chain at one of the links,
it will eventually straighten out......... keep trying.

If the chain stayed a closed loop, there's no way for it to become completely looped on itself. You should be able to straighten it out. If you opened the chain at any point, it's possible you put it back twisted, in which case the solution is to open it again and straighten it.

I think the OP doesn't know how to route the chain through the rear derailleur gears.
And I think "Chain has an A-hole in it" = "Chain is being a pain in the a$$"

I think the OP has got a few unwanted loops in the chain, and cannot figure out how to get them out.... It's like a puzzle, you'll figure it out it takes some time.

Yeah, it's a bit of a head-scratcher until you learn the trick.
I CBFed trying to put it into words, though... I'll just go with make the loops bigger.
Oh yeah, until they join and cancel each other.

Thanks I figured it's just going to take time. I've been busy and haven't had a chance to work on it again. The reason I said it has an a-hole in it is because I'm an electrician and that's what you call a piece of wire that loops on itself. That was the closest thing that I could think of to compare it to. I'll take a few pics and post them. Thanks
