7703 left shifter compatible with 7803 derailleur and 10-speed setup?
I know the right side is a 9-speed and 10-speed issue. But is the left side shifter compatible?

Yep, the left-hand shifter should work with any Shimano road front derailleur, including a 7803 (the new 7900 is the main exception that I am aware of, it only works with a 7900 left shifter).
