Raising the handle bars
I think that I need to raise the bars on my bike.. I have the ritchey logic threadless headset. Can they be raised and if so how much, the stem will need to be raised the bars are straight..
Thanks Mac |

How high do you want to raise them?
1. Look at your stem from the side. If it looks like it's pointing down you can probably raise your handlebars about 1" by flipping it over. 2. To raise your handlebars about 2" you can replace your stem with one that has a steeper rise angle. Be sure to think through the geometry because raising the handlebar will also bring it closer to your saddle. 3. If you want to raise your handlebar by 3" you'll probably need to buy a stem riser. Raising your handlebars by 2 or 3 inches may make it necessary to buy new cables and housings. |

Can they be raised?
Retro Grouch's post covers it thoroughly. |
