Quick question about putting a 9 speed cassette on a 9/10 speed freehub

It seems that the cassette doesn't fit quite right. Do I need some kind of spacer or adapter? If so where would I get this type of thing?

Thanks
Chris

Depends on the hub/cassette combo. What specific hub and cassette are you using?

What part of it "doesn't fit right?" Shimano or Campagnolo? Some Mavic wheels require spacers behind the cassette.

More info needed. FWIW I have an Ultegra Hub and it's the 10-sp cassette that needs the 1mm spacer. The 9-sp cassette doesn't need a spacer.

Go where a mechanic can see your issue.

+1
Many Shimano compatible Mavic hubs need a 2 mm spacer behind the cassette because Mavic cassettes are 2 mm wider than Shimano's.
