Double FD or Triple FD for a compact double on my cross bike.
I will be running a 50/34 compact double on my Cross bike. Do I need to use a triple fd or a can I use a standard double fd.

Standard double FD worked better for me than the triple FD that I tried briefly.

I couldn't get my Campagnolo Racing-T triple front derailleur to consistently shift onto the big ring without sometimes dumping the chain so I switched to a double derailleur which worked great.
