Is an XT, M-770 crank with Dyna-Sys 10 chain rings compatible with a 9 speed system?

I'm looking to upgrade the cranks on my MTB. I like the look and design of the Shimano XT, M-770 crank. My question is, can I use these cranks with 10 speed "dyna-sys" chain rings on a 9 speed system. When this crank came out it had 9 speed chain rings, but when I did a search on ebay, the only units I found in any nice condition had the 10 speed "dyna-sys" chain rings. Are there any differences between the 9 speed chain rings and the 10 speed, dyna-sys chain rings or are they interchangeable.
I'm installing this crank on a 07 Stumpy with SRAM X-9 system. The current crank is a plain Jane, Shimano Hollowtech I, splined three piece unit. Thanks for any replies.

The M770 is a 9 speed crankset. M780 and above bumps up to 10 speed. There will be a slight difference between ring spacing on a 9 and 10 speed set.

You should be able to find an M770 crankset out there.

As a general rule the chainring spacing difference between 9 and 10-speed cranks is very small so it should work. At worst, you might have to use a 10-speed chain.
