What is thread of Brake mounts on Suntour NCX fork?

My bike has a Suntour NCX fork and disc brakes. I want to mount a rack to the fork using the Cantileaver brake fittings on the fork. The thread size is 10mm, but I'm not sure of the pitch. I can thread a 1.0 pitch in a couple of turns, but it seems it may be a .8 or something else. Anybody know? Any suggestions for what type of bolt to use for this?

I was a bit confused, thinking you had the canti studs in place.

So, you're asking for the external threading of the study's base. I believe you want M10 x 1.25. This is considered fine pitch for an M10 bolt. M10 x 1.0 is superfine ...used for derailleur hangers, Shimano steel rear axles, and (I believe) chainring bolts. I have doubt M10 x 0.8 exists.

Thanks for the reply; I'm pretty sure 1.25 is not the thread pitch. I tried that and it didn't thread in. I also tried a 1.0 pitch (referred to as extra fine) and it threaded in a couple of turns, then it got tight. I didnt want to force the 1.0 pitch and damage the threads. I was thinking that a .8 pitch might be the one but I can't find one at a hardware store. The .8 pitch would be a pretty fine thread for such a big bolt. The threads on the fork may have a bit of debris in them, but they have had a plug in the hole to keep them clean since the bike was new. I suppose I could clean the threads and try the 1.0 again. Is there a product made for this purpose?
