switching from a threaded fork to a threadless fork

got chance to get my hands on a threadless fork , was considering swapping it with my threaded fork... other then a new stem .what else do i have to change? will i need an entirely different headset or just take off the old fork?

i think you need a threadless headset. ritchey and orign8 offer press in versions for one inch headtubes at around 20-50 bucks.

Cane Creek does as well. I used one on my conversion and it works great. I think it was about $30.

You did not get a 9/8" fork and want to replace an 1.0" fork with it, did you?

the threadless fork also has to have a 1" steerer tube, not 1.125" ..
