Chain line adjustable on Veloce bottom bracket???

Calling Campy mechanics....

I just got a new road bike for my gurl. It has a mix of Centaur and Veloce components. The gearing is a nine speed with a triple crank.

She is new to road cycling and having a zillion gear choices but is learning.

The problem is that the bike does not like to be ridden in the middle ring/largest rear cog combination. Because the chain stays are short, the chain line in that gear is poor. So, there is a lot of chain noise or, the chain will shift itself off the middle ring and onto the small ring unless she possitions the front derailuere so it is holding the chain on the middler ring (slight rub). The auto gear change is disconserting.

So, my question is can the Veloce bottom bracket chain line be adjusted to the left a little without having the BB face of the frame milled?

Thanks!

It isn't adjustable. When equipped with a triple, the midle ring is in the same position as the big ring of a double. So, you shouldn't even be using the middle big/big co.

Yeah...thats what I figured....

I ride the middle ring/big cog all the time on my mountain bike and tandem...but the stays are much longer so the chain angle is less...

I think if I replace the 12/25 nine speed cassette with a 13/28 it might help her out...
