shifters size matters
hi all i am modifying a frame to have internal shifter cables. the shifters i am now using are suntour symmetric. clamp on type. all my other components are shimino 600 Arabic. the ? is are any of the shimino aero top of tube 6oo s the same width as the suntour. i want to switch maybe later and want cable entry to look good. Also the top tube bolt on might both have different thread sizes to the boss if i go bolt on?

Keep Same Shifters?

May I ask why you don't simply continue to use the SunTour symmetric shifters? In my experience, they're functional and look pretty good. For larger frames (and unless you have long arms), it's nicer to have the shifters on the top of the downtube rather than along the sides. Why not keep them?
