What Size Inner Tube For These Tires?

Hey guys.

Bike newbie.

My tires say:
"Country Ride"
28x13/8x15/837-622

I need to replace the inner tubes, but I'm not sure what size to order.

What do the size readings listed above mean?

Any advice welcome.

Thanks.

Im still learning, but it looks like the tire size is 28 inch. The 837-622 is probably centimeters. However, for my bike with 28 inch tires, I need 27 inch tubes. Check on the tube itself, and it will have numbers listed somewhere on it as well. That is what you can use to replace it with the right size, in my opinion. Hope that helps.

622 is the diameter of the rim. That's the most important thing. After that, the width of your tires is 37mm (37x622), so you'll want a tube that's close to that. Finally, you need to make sure you get tubes with the correct valve. There's Presta (skinny) and Schrader (wide, like car tire valves).

Happy hunting.

Guessing is fun, but often not all that helpful when someone is looking for information.
837 centimeters is about 27 feet.

The tire in question is a Continental Country Ride ( I recognize the model name) 28 X 1 3/8 X 1 5/8 is what wider 700C (standard road or hybrid size) tires are called on some European tires. The 37 X 622 is the 'ISO' designation for the tire size - 37 mm wide to fit on a rim with a 622 mm bead seat diameter (also called 700C).

You should look for a tube that says '700 X 32/38' or '700 X 35' or thereabouts. Tubes are made from stretchy rubber so there is a range of tube sizes that can fit into any tire.

This.

Or, if the only thing with the right valve is listed as a tube for 27" x 1 1/4, that will work, too.
