Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

ANY 11s chain will be fine.
I try to choose from the middle of the range for any brand.
The bottom end chain is usually made to meet a price point, and better chains are usually made of better materials, ie. harder pins. Once you get to mid range, the "improvements" tend to be mostly cosmetic, ie. nicer plating, or weight saving, ie. holes punched in outer plates.

I have had good results with the SRAM PC-xxx series, but I will use any chain which comes with a master link, that is, not Shimano.

Sure. Before you buy, consider that SRAM lists all four models, PC-1110, 1130, 1170, and 1190 as having chrome-hardened pins, which are key for long life. Therefore, the money spent on an 1170 would get you a lighter chain with hollow pins and shinier side plates (ooh, ahh), but it wouldn't last any longer than the 1130 you used.

I have no problems with using them either but don't want to pay Shimano for the special pin (which is a deficient concept IMO) and throw it away AND pay additional for a master link; the other brands include the master link with the chain.
