Trimming grips
I was puzzling out over lunch just how to cut down a set of bicycle grips to fit a kids’ bike, a bike having grip shifters. Hard to cut grip nice and perfectly flush.
Then the idea hit me. Take some 7/8ths dowel rod. Spray on a bit of alcohol for lubrication. Slide the end of the grip over the rod. Cut using a pipe cutter. The result is as perfect a cut as you’ll ever get.
