Centaur BB came apart; is that normal? If so do you....

Something odd happened the other day. I had built up a bike last year but I never got a chance to ride it because of an injury. After riding a few time I decided it was too big and had to go. I decided I would reconfigure it a bit since DA parts might be more desirable than the stuff I had on it.

So as I was taking the Centaur BB out it came apart. I had thought that the right side 'cup' did not come off. The BB shell had been chased and faced just before the BB was installed and it had less than 100mi on it.

Is this normal for a Centaur? If so does anyone have a set of English cups they don't need??

Is it unusable ? Or can you slide the cup back on and keep using it ?

I am pretty sure I can slide the cups back on and use it, but I thought they were not susposed to come apart. Also as long as it is apart if I can find some English cups......

It is normal for the cups to come out, my Chorus BB also did that.
Just put it back in and it will be fine.

unlike the UN type shimano BB
Screwing it into the frame from both sides, holds it together .
Is it unusable ?
Certainly..
The <C> one by, the way it is made, stands a chance
of replacing just the bearing cartridges, later.. .
