Tyre v inner tube size

Can someone put my mind at rest

Is it okay to run my bike which has 700x45c tyres with 700x35-40c innertubes

Will they fill the tyre or should I replace them with the correct fitting ??

Thanks in advance.

They will work fine, though the tube material might get stretched a little thin.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

I wouldn't worry one little bit.

Given the choice, I'll always use innertubes one size too small rather than oversized. You're much less apt to pinch the tube under a tire bead. That's a much more common problem than air leaking through a thinner tube wall a tiny bit faster.

They'll work fine. I've used tubes labeled as 19 - 26mm in 38mm tires without any problems.

HD thorn resistant tubes start out thicker , so will retain air longer ,
even if they stretch a bit to fill the Tire..
