How do you repair a flat on these? A 'proper' tubular has a tube sewn into a casing. These are all in one.

before you ride you fill it with latex milk which will clog the puncture and prevent loss of too much air. tufo also offers a thickened fluid for emergency use, once you have a flat.
the normal fluid is white, the emergency one is brown. tufo's are rubber all the way around, at least the ones i ride, so no sewing ..

hope this helps.

The Tufo tubulars aren't repairable either.

non repairable equals unaffordable

Thanks.

At $56 for one tyre and given the amount of glass on our roads, non repairable rules them out for me. I guess they're for that last gasp of speed for competitive racing.

Yeah, just say no. I still have some around; I loved the ride, but they nearly left me stranded a few times. If the sealant doesn't work, you're SOL.

I haven't had a flat yet, but maybe I've just been lucky. It's not exactly a high mileage bike, either.

They're Tufo Diamond 28s.
