Suggestions for removing an FSA Gossamer left crank retaining bolt

Suggestions for removing an FSA Gossamer left crank retaining bolt
Allen socket stripped when I attempted to remove it, and I need to get the left arm off to re-do the bottom bracket.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Bolt looks like this (though you cannot see the hex head slot from this angle):

Yeah, I've had that exact same problem with that setup. Solution was a different Allen wrench, one that goes deeper, believe it or not. Not sure why it works... Good luck.
Then when reinstalling, no need to go tight. There's plenty of thread on that cap; you'd notice it backing out from vibration, etc.

FYI, got it removed by hammering an M8 allen wrench socket into the stripped M6 slot.
