Tire/Tube/Rim compatability
Hi all. I am trying to fit a tire that is marked (52-559) 26X47/52 RIM: HB-575 to a rim which is marked 559X21 and 26X175. The old tire on this rim was marked 54X559 and 26X2.00. The tube was only marked 0107031. I did mount the tire with that tube. It fit the bike and rim, but it blew a hole. What size tube should I use with this tire?

Odds are the blowout was due to improper mounting, the tube being caught under the bead or similar. A tube size between 1.75-2.25 should be good, with the thinner one being easier to fit.

The hole was very close to the stem. I patched it and put the old tire back on. It still has some life in it. I figure I'll give the new tire a new tube when I get around to mounting it.
