wheel/rim question
I have a front 27x 1 1/8 alloy rim that had what felt like a flat spot on it. I bought a park ts 2.2 truing stand at a really good deal so I figured I would practice with the rim. I started by loosing all the spokes and then snugged them all up to keep the wheel centered on the hub. I tightend up all the spokes with out the use of a spoke tension tool and then trued the wheel, when I was done the wheel had no flat spot at all.
My question is, Will the flat spot come back if I were to use it or could it have just been that the spokes in that area were to tight(they felt over tightend)?
Thanks in advance

A flat spot is usually caused by a damaged rim, but if you're lucky it's only tight spokes.
Unless it's a really light box section, you don't stand much chance of pulling it perfectly round again with spoke tension, so it sounds like the latter in your case.
