Handlebar stem question

Does anyone offer stems that fit a 1" threadless steering tube and 26mm diameter bar without the use of shims?

You will struggle to get an Aheadstem in 1", as almost all are for 1 1/8th. 1" was on it's way out as threadless was on the way in.

Plenty of options (Velo Orange and Nitto to start you off) if you are prepared to use a shim, any reason why you are against this?

Yeah, why not use a shim? Just put some carbon assembly paste on it and you'll be fine. It'll never slip.
