Replacing A Xenon Bulb With An LED In A Vintage Bike Light
I have a vintage 'Nighthawk' bike light with a Xenon bulb. (Nighthawk is out of business). It just seems like it's not as bright as it used to be. I think the battery is OK. I haven't actually dismantled it yet to remove the actual bulb to see the exact type, but my understanding is that LED equivalents exist for most of these flashlight-type bulbs.
I could also replace the battery pack inexpensively when the time comes with larger mAh NiMH C-cell rechargeables.
Anybody have any experience with this sort of thing?

There is an "Electonics, Lighting and Gadgets" forum here that should be far better equipped to answer your question.
