10spd dynasys, fd and crank compatability

Hi everyone,

My shifters are 10spd dynasys, do I need a dynasys front derailluer and 10 speed crankset?

What if I want to use an aftermarket crankset that is not 10-speed dynasys; say 8/9-spd FSA and Shimano cranksets.
1. will a 10-spd dynasys front der work?
2. will a 9-spd or older shimano front derailluers work?

Thanks.

Regards,

Dex

Ok.. I got a Dynasys Front derailluer and the LBS couldn't get it to shift to the big ring on this Suntour (for 8-spd) cranks.

I currently have on:
Deore 10-spd shifters (dynasys)
Deore 10-spd Rear Derailluer (dynasys)
Deore 10-spd cassette
Deore Front Derailluer (dynasys)
Deore 10-spd chain hgx

and the Suntour (for 8-spd setup) Crankset 42/32/2?

Since the LBS couldn't get it to shift on my 8-spd crank, will I be forced to get a Shimano (10-spd) crank? or will other cranks from (9 or 10 speed) FSA, Truvativ, etc. work?

Thanks...

A 9-speed crank would work, but it's ideal to match the drivetrain theme whether it be nine, ten speeds or otherwise.
