LaPierre Xelius Rear Hanger Help...
Hello,
I managed to break my rear derailleur hanger for my 2009 LaPierre Xelius 400 FDJ. I went to my LBS, and the wrench was pretty perplexed and noted that it may be impossible to find a match. The reason being is that there isn't a part number for it, and there isn't a lot of LaPierre stuff around. He noted if he had a "derailleur number" that there may be a generic, or one from a different model he could order in.
I've been on the web for about 5 hours and have run out of luck. The only thing close that I can find is for the X-Lite. It looks similar, but I hate to order the wrong hanger.
Does anyone have experience or know anything about LaPierre parts, or can point me in the right direction toward a "derailleur number" for the rear hanger?
Thanks in advance!
Tyson

Unfortunately, when folks started making replaceble hangers they thought it was an opportunity to unleash their frustrated creative impulses. There's no logical reason, but there are a staggering number of different hangers. Even though there are over 50 existing versions already, folks still feel none are "just right" and start fresh.
That means that there will be many examples like yours where the original hanger isn't available. Your best bet is to try your luck at the Wheels mfg website, and see if they happen to have an analog. If not, see if there's anything close enough that you can modify to fit with a file or coping saw.

Thanks for the info. In my wisdom I left it with my LBS so they could try and find one as well, so I don't have photo to go by currently. I'll have to swing by on Monday and see if we can find one that matches up. The most likely one is:

although without the hanger its hard to compare.
Uuuuggghhh what a PITA.
To top it off, I'm planning on heading to Greenville, SC Friday for the George Hincapie Gran Fondo.... Hope I can get it straightened out before then :-)
Thanks!

Thank you to all.
For future searches, I was able to find my hanger at niagra cycle works (also listed on amazon):
https://www.niagaracycle.com/product_...ucts_id=446969
It is the same model as X-lite and the 2010 model.
Additionally I found it here in GB:
https://soshanger.com/epages/box11137...00527009/LP%22
Here:
https://www.hibike.com/shop/product/p...nger-type.html
(number 527009)
Here:
https://www.hotlines-uk.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=27372
and lastly here:
https://welovemountains.com/lapierre-...black-one-size
I wanted to wait to make sure it fit before posting.
Numbers that help for ID is that it fits the X-Lite, and is usually listed as that.
sku number is 527009
part number is 146123
Best of luck in the future for those that are looking!
