Help Identifying this Handlebar Tape

Hello everyone. My girlfriend bought this bike used and loves the handlebar tape for its feel. She doesn't like most cork tape because they are too padded. I took it to the LBS and local co-op, but no one knows what it is. It has a rough, corkish texture, vaguely sandpapery and probably about 1-2mm thick. I don't know if it is some sort of thin cork tape that was stretched tight.

I attached some pics here. It looks like it has a C indentation on the tape, but I haven't seen anything like it on Cinelli's site and it definitely is much thinner than Cinelli tape that I have used.

The striping is cool, so hopefully someone can recognize it from that.

it looks like the tape on the left here:

It might just be cinelli tape that was wrapped with a lot of tension.

That would be my guess too. I've used and loved the unpadded version of Cinelli tape for decades. The newer padded version, not so much.

I'd be careful about wrapping Cinelli tape with "a lot of tension". Cinelli cork bar wrap has a narrow tension window between "too loose to look good" and "Oh crap!".
