Hi guys,

I have searched the forum as well as google and come up with nothing, I cannot see anything as per my manual but do any of you know if it is possible to adjust the Suntour M3010 Forks if yes, how ? There are 2 possible twisty things at the top of the forks should i take on of those off could i then adjust the compression rate or will i need new firmer springs ?

Ok i popped one of the caps off and i was expecting to see a spring but it was simply a hollow tube. I then check the bottom of the fork to see if it could be adjusted that way but nothing...I know they are poor forks but i am hoping they can be stiffened up a bit ?

the google machine tells me wow....thats a terrible fork....50mm travel....looks like its got adjustable preload but im gonna go out on a whim and say no lockout (i have an suntour xct v3 and the top looks similar but its an 80mm and supports disc.)
those tubes are elastometers just leave em.

Very basic suspension forks such as yours have only a simple steel spring inside plastic sliding tubes. According to a previous poster, there is supposed to be a preload adjust, which basically pushes down a bit on the spring to make it a bit stiffer. They usually don't make a huge difference. I would think anyone over 200 lbs would be seriously overloading that fork, or most entry-level suspension forks.
