Brake Lever Torsion Return Spring Broken - on Tektro BL-R400 AERO levers
I have a 2008 Surley LHT, with stock Tektro BL-R400 AERO brake levers. The small torsion return spring snapped.
I contacted QBP and they said they did not have nor can get that spring for replacement.
Anyone have any ideas of what I can use to replace it with?

No idea on just the spring but I see levers going for a little over $20 per side. Do you have a photo of that spring?

Tektro aero (about the only type made by anyone these days) brake levers are available from many internet and mail order sources at $25/pair or less.
Here is Amazon's listing for Terktro road levers for use with cantilever or road-type disc brakes: https://www.amazon.com/Tektro-RL340-B...o+brake+levers
Here is their listing for Tektro road levers for use with V-brakes or MTB-type disc brakes: https://www.amazon.com/Tektro-RL520-B...o+brake+levers
Finally, are you sure you need the return spring? Most caliper and canti brakes have return springs strong enough that the lever spring isn't essential.

* The spring helps overcome cable friction by taking lever return out of the picture; more necessary on a longer cable run.
