Shimano 105 1050-FD compatibility with 6600 brifter?

Hi, I'm replacing the downtube shifters on a cannondale criterium with some spare 6600 brifters. The drivetrain has already been converted to 10-speed, but the FD is still the original 1050 series (circa 1987).

This FD worked fine with the downtube shifters of course, but should I expect to have problems with the new brifters? I.e. has the cable pull for the FD changed over the intervening 25 years?

I'm certainly willing to buy and fit a new FD if necessary, but I think it's kinda cool to keep one original part on the bike!

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it will work, just try it and see, get the new FD if it doesn't work

igxgrrl, Most often Shimano FDs are compatible through their road groups WRT indexing. Did you reuse the 105 RD to shift the 10S?

How about two? Your old rear derailleur will work just fine if it's in good nick.
