Need help with shortening chain

Hi, I have an 03 or 04 Trek 4300 and i need to shorten the chain as I have installed a new crank. The only thing I can read from the chain is "Shimano", "IG" and "narrow". So, what type of tool should I get that will be inexpensive? I am looking to spend 5-10 bucks.

P.S. I live in Canada so it will need Canadian shipping option.

Any chain tool will work, for the home mechanic, a Park CT-5 Chain Mini Brute is a nice tool, for costs, you will need to google that / go to a good LBS, all LBS's should carry chain tools, brands will vary.

For how too guides, see here https://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-...-length-sizing

Don't use a K-mart or drugstore chain tool on modern chain, the tool will fail.
Any known name-brand tool will probably do ok.

I prefer Shimano's cheapest chain tool, but it's far from the cheapest one out there. It will push 1000 pins though, with little effort.
