Lets see. The most money I ever made wrenching was $16,000
I went to school while I was wrenching, quite wrenching and moved to Florida to finish school. This year I'll break into the six figure range as a medical specialist. Oh yea, I only owe 18K on my student loan.

"What do you suggest? $200k in educational cost for 12 to 14 yrs of post high school training to become a medical specialist. Maybe 4 to 6 yrs and 60K for an entry job as an elementary school teacher?"

I have considered going to school just to pick up on some 'tricks of the trade' even though I no longer wrench professionaly. Besides it'd be cool to teach them a thing or 2.

Oh, yea....which school? If I get 4 or more students I'll conduct a course at my place. Cost will be competitive.

So, rather than offer advice, you guys want to turn this into a school yard pushing match? Grow up, all of you.

Raiyn, sorry if you took that as a cheap shot. Seeing as how I'm testing out early retirement down under right now (I'll be going back to work soon, I'm only 35) I spend a lot of time selling and installing parts, as well as fixing bikes. I could never make a living as a bike mechanic, but I do enjoy it, and it keeps me out of trouble. I think I'll knock off early and go to the beach today.
