front shifter broke!

Today's commute was terrible! I broke my left/front Shimano 105 STI shifter trying to get into the third chainring. Now I can only use the front two! It feels like I stripped the ratchet for the third.

Does anyone want to split a new pair of shifters?

How can one get an individual shifter that costs close to half the price of the pair?
