Looks like you just have the body shown there. That will not replace the PS mechanism "guts" that controls the shifting (I think).

OK, yeah... that was my question. I was under the impression these were being sold instead of the parts for a rebuild and that they would have the necessary parts (the guts) to change the shifting mechanism. The proliferation of power-shift BS on the lower half of their line is the only thing keeping me from being 100% campy.

I was lucky enough to get 2010 Centaur shifters before they went 'ps'. I have heard of places like Shinybikes still having 2010 Veloce shifters in stock, but that was a while ago.

That part includes the mechanism. It replaces everything except brake blade, hood, and mounting hardware.

I got 2 sets of Veloce from Velomine and they're Ultra shift. I love them. I may be putting the cart before the horse, but I'm worried when they get old I won't be able to have them rebuilt. I recently got a set of Athena 11 speed that I'm going to run on a Shimangalo set-up and they're power-shift. I'd drop an extra hundred bucks for the upgrade.
I probably wouldn't know the difference, except that I've used ultra-shift and it's much much better.

So.. transferring over a brake lever blade, mounting hardware, and hood from a power-shift lever will give me an ultra-shift lever as long as everything's from the same post '08 design?

When in doubt, go to the Campy website and review the spare parts diagrams. They explain what parts are the same and what parts are available for rebuilding. These days, the only way to rebuild the internals of a powershift or ultrashift lever is to buy a large assembly that includes all parts, except the brake lever, brake hood and band clamp. The two types of brakes hoods are not interchangeable, but the brake levers should be.
