Very wobbly KTM frame (Not "speed wobble")
I rescued a KTM FormulaTS mixte from The Dump. It's nothing mindbowing, although it sports the weird Shimano FF system and rear Positron derailer which I simply hate. But those can be swaped.
My question is more regarding frame flexibility (or not). If I hold the handlebar and shake it sideways, the whole bike wobbles and vibrates. This may be the reason why the ride is so smooth, but it also doesn't transmit any confidence as you feel everything is quite flimsy.
Could it be that this is actually not related to the frame? (wheels?) Is it actually a bad thing i.e. very bad quality steel?
My gf wants to make a mixte project and I'm wondering if this is too bad of a frame.

It's a mixte and will never be as stiff as an true diamond (men's) frame. That said, the quality of the steel has nothing to do with inherent stiffness and, in fact, a cheap frame with thick wall Hi-Ten tubes will be stiffer than a frame of higher quality steel with thin walls.
Check the wheels for loose hubs but the frame is always going to be a bit flexy.
