What is the correct replacement for my bottom bracket

Hi,
I would like to replace my old 3 piece bottom bracket with a new cartridge bottom bracket. The spindle length is 112.3 mm measured by a digital caliper. The shell length is 68 mm. There is 1.37 x 24T written on it.

There are several types of square taped brackets. I am not sure which one is mine. Also, what bb do you think would match.

Shimano UN 25 is in sizes 112 or 113 mm brackets but a better one UN 54 is only 110 and 113mm. Is there a chance that any of them will work?

Thanks

All of them will work.

Remember how big a millimeter is- there's a lot more wiggle room than anyone seems to want to admit.

I would use a UN26 in the 113mm spindle length; $10 on line from several sources.

What's wrong with the current unit? Looks pretty decent to me; even has neoprene seals around the spindle hole. Unless there's some egregious problem, simply cleaning it out and replacing the balls ought to be all that's needed.

Thank you all for replays. Actually, there is no problem with current unit at all. I have recently bought this bike as second hand and I just thought that I could upgrade the dirty 3-piece bottom bracket to a nice and clean cartridge one.

The 110 will work fine... you have 1 mm shorter at each side, doubt the chain will notice. Even the 113 will work just fine too, half mm at each side.

Best thing to do is get the size code off the spindle.
It should be something like 3-A, 3-P or similar.

Then go to Sheldon's spindle DB and pick the symmetrical equivalent.
