Open BB headset mix and matching.
I replaced the top part of my open ball-bearing headset, but left the bottom (crown race, bearings, and cup) to retain enough stack height. The ball bearing tracks seemed to be at different angles as the BBs are the same size, but the cups and cones not interchangeable between new and old.
I'm now getting a mystery creak from my bike and was wondering if this could potentially be the cause?
