DId a tube change (sorta) today for the first time
I always heard it's better to do it at home than on the road. I'm a relatively new cyclist and decided that I would use a little spare time to remove and re-install my rear tube today. Having never done it, I didn't want to have to do it for the first time when I'm 20 miles from my house. So with the help of this forum and a little youtube, I got it done and was pretty proud of myself. Definitely glad I got the 1st experience out of the way. Did a chain cleaning and front derailleur adjustment while I was at it

Congrats on success (sort of). Hopefully you did a decent job and won't be surprised by a slow leak, or problems related to bad seating.
It's always better to master a task in controlled conditions with no pressure. Hopefully you'll be comfortable enough so that when you have to do it in the rain, while running late for an appointment you won't get rattled.
