Upgrade cranks from 6650 to 6750

I going to change my compact 6650 @ 172.5 to 175mm. It looks like easiest to find & most economical will be compact 6750.

Will 6750 drop in without any issues? Use same bb?

I Bought bike used. Front derailleur is a 6700

Thanks in advance

Yes, they are essentially the same crank except for the aesthetic change on how the rings attach. Will drop in your BB without issue.

Do you really need the extra 2.5mm? Because that's all you'll get. Crank length is a personal choice though, so I won't judge.

I can notice a 5mm change in crank length, but 2.5mm is verging on academic.

Thanks for your input!

I am going to be buying a "Stages" crank mounted power meter https://www.stagescycling.com/stagespower-models

I plan on swapping it back and forth between my MTB w/XT w/175mm cranks and CX/road bike (that has 172.5 now)

Yes, I am aware that I will be upsetting my Q-factor (It will have be offset - wider on one side). Knowing that, I at least want to get the crank length right and not have 172.5 on r/s side and 175 on l/s. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...5#post16274315
