F/Derailleur cable bent a bit?

Hey all, I just figured out what is making a click noise when I turn the front of the bike: its the front derailleur's cable that whacks against the little metal thing that holds it in place.
Picture of what part I mean
First I thought the rubber thing had come out of the metal holder but now I'm not so sure, the cable is bent a bit (nothing drastic mind you) but it seems it's enough. I'll take it to my LBS on Friday but until then I'd like to try and fix this. Is there any way to straighten a length of front derailleur cable about 3-5 cm long? Do you think it'll cost much, if anything to have it straightened at my LBS?

Bent cable is no big deal. Insert rubber grommets on bare cable where it's doing the whacking. I'm assuming you're talking about cable slapping on your down tube...?

Edit: After re-reading your post, I guess it's not cable slap after all...

Even after looking at the picture, I am not sure what you are talking about. And cannot imagine a real issue unless the guide is buggered or the casing isn't seated in it properly.Fiddling with the cable/casing will most likely screw up derailer adjustment.Take it back to the shop.

Sorry about the sucky picture, I'll try and snap some pictures of my Hardrock from good angles, then you'll see what I mean.
